Hi, I'm Lorette

I'm an author, illustrator and teacher based in Melbourne.

Over the years I've spent a lot of time creating picture books and helping others create theirs. Along the way, I developed a step-by-step guide to making a picture book, designed to make the whole process feel achievable and enjoyable.

But I also know how easy it is for our own creative projects to get pushed aside.

That's really where Picture Book Studio began.

I wanted a regular time each week to sit down and work on my own projects, and I suspected other people might need that too.

What started as an hour each week has gradually grown into a small community of picture book creators who support one another, share ideas and make time for their stories together.

There's no pressure and no expectation to share. Just people making space for stories, one small step at a time.
